ahhh, minnesota.  after almost four years of living here, we finally rented ‘fargo’ to watch the other night.  and boy!  some of the depictions were right on about life in minne-soh-tah and it was downright sad that we actually recognized many of the places in the movie, like ‘hey, that’s by jim lupient’s auto mall!’ and the part where the guy is trying to scrape the ice off his windshield, well, i’ve lived that scene one too many times.  but those accents, where in the world did their accents come from?!  we’ve never heard anyone here sound even remotely close.  there IS a certain accent that i can’t quite nail down though.  and every time someone here says ‘root’, i always think they’re saying ‘rut’.

random entry.  guess it’s cuz we’ve been having minnesota weather lately (read: crazy and unpredictable).  yesterday, it rained, then got sunny, then SNOWED, then rained again.  and we’re having snow flurries again today.  but spring is springing even here and soon i’ll have pretty spring pictures to post.
