trick or treat!

so last month, i randomly came across this little outfit on craigslist that i just HAD to buy.  for one thing, it was just mikey’s size.

and for another thing, it perfectly matched an outfit phil just happened to have.  like father like son…

and it was only 5 bucks!

the doctor and the doctor in training…

meanwhile, me and my girl didn’t have costumes for trick-or-treating last night.

but that didn’t mean allie was going to be left out of all the fun!  here’s our ‘trick or treat rookie’.

with special mommy-made hairbows!

mikey gave allie a quick check-up just before we headed out.  mikey even supplied the heart sound for us all to hear, “ba-boom, ba-boom.”

it was 30 degrees out (19 with the wind chill), so we opted to do the rounds in a nearby mall.  mikey was a happy boy even though he mostly got only tootsie rolls.  am i the only one who doesn’t consider that real candy?  and please excuse the ghetto ice cream bucket.

“open that?  open that?”  notice that he already has a piece of candy in his mouth.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pics!! Mikey and Allie are so cute! Love the pigtails and Allie looks great in orange! I esp. like the way the dr. cap covers up Mikey’s adorable haircut. Oh, and I’m totally with ya on the tootsie roll non-candy point!!

OH MY GOODNESS, love the pictures, and yeppers, tootsie rolls are what old people who get their houses egged (i would never do that) give out.
love how you did allie’s hair, i can’t wait until i get to do that. she looks way too grown up.
kudos on the $5 costume!!! a great find.

michelle, mikey’s costume is PERFECT. i personally love the ice cream bucket, way to reuse your plastics. 🙂 “trick or treat rookie”, haha! awwww, whenever i read about what you guys are doing out there, i get really excited about the idea of your family potentially moving to San Pedro!

mikey’s costume rocks!!!  and i thought it was chilly for jonathan last night…a brisk 68 degrees. yeah, trick or treating at the mall is soooooo~oooooo popular!

mikey looks adorable in his costume and allie is just too cute with her hair up.  we definitely had a lot in common.  =)  jessica has a “doctor in training” scrub set.  except, we paid full price online.  =)

RYC: 15 minutes of pushing!  Wow. you must have super abs!  And didn’t they give you a little local anasthetic for an episiotomy?

And did you get an epidural for your second one?  What were the pros and cons? (if you did get it)

  • KhrystalSun

RYC:  OMG!  you are my new Hero!!!  I know that every pregnancy is different.. but girl…  i give you props!  And that’s the attitude that i have… I CAN DO IT.  And if i don’t get an epidural this time, i’m thinking of getting on the next baby, just for the experience.  At least this way, i can tell people that i’ve been there too (and to see what all the fuss is about).  You go girl!!!!  Soon is my turn.

ahhhh, i just about died when i saw mikey’s costume! so cute and so perfect! you think your bucket was ghetto? ours was a plastic halloween bag that came in the Sunday times. we went to the mall too and why a bunch of stores were giving out just tootsie rolls too? tootsie rolls are okay but c’mon, where are the kit kats and snickers? mommy wants some good candy! heh heh. no, we were really thankful and happy because austin had so much fun and his bag was all filled up.

I can’t get over how great Mikey’s costume is.  He is just too cute!!  Both of your kids are too cute!  Great idea to trick-or-treat indoors this year with the cold weather!
