white elephant christmas party
tonight (well, last night, since it’s now past midnight) we had a little christmas party with three other couples from our church. a great time was had by all as we shared a beautiful turkey dinner together and then dove into our white elephant gifts. everyone was a good sport too as they all let me shoot away…
brooke had these cool little candles set up on the dining room table.
my little buddy luke. isn’t he such a cutie?
mikey definitely lived it up, so happy was he to finally be out of our house and not at the doctor’s office.
we locked the kiddos upstairs so we could eat in peace. juuust kidding!
present time! here’s dave carefully selecting his gift.
little he did know that he picked a tsai gift. mua ha ha ha!
yeah, baby! a lifetime supply of fiber powder to keep you regular!
but wait! there’s more! a $10 starbucks gift card was inside to sweeten the deal.
here’s phil animatedly selecting his gift. nice and small, way to go, honey!
yes! a journal to record his deepest and most profound thoughts. like… “i’d rather have a root canal than have to work in clinic tomorrow.” (he declared this to me on the way home tonight).
joe was a brave man to select the enormous green box. yet another tsai treasure! mua ha ha ha!
working hard to discover the gem hidden within.
score! the tsais’ complete collection of movies on vhs!
who knew that the fiber would be the ‘it’ gift of the night? here’s lorie gleefully stealing citrucel from dave.
and here’s dave and brooke after discovering his new present. a brand new, never used, install-it-yourself outdoor porch light! they were laughing because this was the exact same kind of light dave spent a bunch of time REMOVING when they moved into their house.
lucky dave, though, he got to pick first and so got to have the last steal of the night. he declared, “i want that fiber powder!”
poor lorie, guess she didn’t much want the porch light, either!
here’s dave proudly displaying his fiber-for-life.
