open house condition
we just had our second open house yesterday. we’ve received calls for seven house showings in the last two weeks. it’s worked out to be roughly every other day. the good part about so many showings is that the house stays fairly presentable. the bad part is that it still takes me a good two hours to do all the little “last minute” touch-ups for each showing. not to mention my two little tornadoes who think it’s their job to follow me from room to room undoing all the cleaning i just did. that part gets a tad frustrating. it’s not their fault since they don’t know what’s going on, but still makes for more work for me.
i’m tired.
so far, lots of interest in our house, but no offers yet. sigh.
here’s our home in “open house condition”. it stays that way for about two minutes. then we have to start living again and all the stuff begins piling up and all the toys start spreading out on the floor…
living room
dining room
kitchen (one side)
kitchen (other side)
pantry (trying to keep it somewhat presentable!)
main floor bathroom
master bedroom
master bathroom
kids’ room
play room
basement family room
office (third bedroom in basement)
basement bathroom
phil and i are getting awfully sad thinking about having to leave our home that we’ve loved living in soooo much!
edit: oop, just got a call for a showing in ONE HOUR! gotta go clean!

i think we have the exact same lighting fixture over our dining table.
what a great home you’ve made it into. i know it won’t be the same when you move back but i know for sure you will be able to make any place into a beautiful home for your family!

the armoire is yours. we’ll store it for you in our garage. just let us know when you move here and you can come pick it up.
