mommy: aw, that’s nice of you, allie IS cute. is mikey cute too?

[no answer]

mikey: mommy’s cute, too.

mommy: aw, thanks! how about daddy? is daddy cute?

mikey [thoughtful silence]: no, daddy’s biiiiiger.

phil and i busted out laughing.

just before eating breakfast today…

mikey: mikey pray too?

mommy: ok! mikey’s turn to pray.

mikey: dear God. [mumble, mumble] thank you for my parents. thank you for the lions. thank you for the bears. in jesus, amen.
