saying goodbye

this past weekend was booked full for us with two parties and a wedding.  friday night was the “transitional graduation party” for phil.  i’m not sure why they called it a “graduation” but it was for all the transitional interns who are completing their first year of residency.  it was pretty informal as it was held in someone’s backyard, but i was happy because dinner was served and the kids had a great time!

there was a face painter/balloon animal maker there.  though mikey opted to have his hand painted instead.

here he is proudly showing off his newly painted thomas the train.  he was very careful to avoid touching it and even chastised me when i forgot and held his hand and ended up smudging poor thomas.

there were lots of toys and other kids there to play with.  allie especially loved this little red jeep.

by the end of the evening, poor allie was so tired that she cuddled up to anyone who wanted to hold her.  here she is resting her head on luke!
