the lo-ord told noah, “there’s gonna be a floody, floody”

we were able to join stella, eunice, and evangeline at the noah’s ark exhibit in the skirball museum this past thursday thanks to stella who reserved tickets a month in advance so that we could all go for free!  i just checked the website and found that thursdays are booked through december, so it might be awhile before we can go back, but we had a wonderful time and it was great to catch up a bit with some hbc moms.

just one small part of the huge exhibit.  it was great for little hands because you could touch everything.  even more amazing, the whole thing was made from recycled materials!

this giraffe was way up by the ceiling, but the kids below could turn a wheel and its head would move back and forth.

whole my family really liked this model of the ark with small pieces inside to play with.

mikey was very methodical about cleaning up the pretend animal poop.

this super talented puppeteer (ahem, phil) kept the kids entertained with hungry animals:

gavin was all smiles and totally enjoying himself.  that is, until phil accidentally scared him with a puppet.  so sorry about that, stella!

it was a beautiful day and the landscaping outside the museum was lovely.

it was late in the afternoon, but phil suggested we stop by ucla on the way home just for fun.  we’re rarely in that area, so we took the opportunity to show the kids our old stomping grounds.

our first stop was in the athletic building.  i thought it was new, but it’s been there for years according to phil.  hey, what do i know?!

mikey really liked this miniature football stadium.
