20 weeks today!

well, i’ve made it to the halfway point with our little one.  been feeling muuuuch better ever since week fifteen, though the extra energy never did kick in.  i’m still exhausted most days!  but that could very well have more to do with a certain 3-year-old and an almost 2-year-old since i’ve been tired even before getting pregnant.

i’ve been feeling lots of kicks and bumps in there.  this one could be our most active one yet!  yikes.    my dad predicted about a month ago that we’d be having a little boy, or in his words, “a very wild boy, just like his grandpa” based on a dream he said he had.

i’m thinking this one is a boy, but we’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out.  for some odd reason, my doctor’s office doesn’t do the big ultrasound until about 23 weeks.  i kept asking about it and they kept answering that it’s too early to tell before then.  strange because we found out with mikey at 20 weeks and with allie at 18-19 weeks.

anyhoo, just wanted to commemorate this halfway point and give a little update since i’ve been mia for a while…  otherwise, not much new is up with us besides enrolling mikey in preschool for this coming fall, searching for a new home to rent, and just counting down the days til we can finally move out of here!

any predictions on what we’re having and name suggestions?  it’s such a weighty thing to name someone.  phil especially insists it be a good, can’t-make-fun-of kind of name.  remember the name-change fiasco of 2004?  so, we’re kind of hitting a wall thinking of a name for this one- it appears we used the ones we like best already!

what was the name change fiasco of 2004? Hmmm names….yeah we had to stop at 2 kids because i think i ran out of good names too…although if i had another girl I like the name Lauren, or Loreli (yeah i know “gilmore girls”), for boy names i think Jason and Ethan…
Preschool!!! That boy is growing too fast.
Good Luck with your halfway point.

ah Phil’s concerns sounds like our own. 🙂 We were going for boy names that cannot be shortened or made fun of. We liked Luke and if #2 is a boy we will be in trouble. Perhaps Lucas! hee hee… Dave just came back from San Diego yesterday so perhaps we will be CA buddies! 🙂 Glad you are feeling better. I don’t have any burst of energy either…

congratulations!  happy 20th week!  you are one week ahead of me!  maybe our kiddies will share the same birthday.  🙂  good names are hard to find.  thankfully we’ve had names (for either gender) already picked out from lllooooonngggg time ago.  can’t wait to hear yours.  xoxo.

Glad to hear you are feeling a little better.  I can’t imagine how tired you must be between being pregnant and taking care of Mikey & Allie.  BTW…still have some newborn stuff (e.g. diaper & boppy).  Let me know if you are interested in taking.

Why does everyone think you’re having a boy?!  I think it’s a girl.    Hmmm…there are so many good names out there.  What about Hannah?  Or, Rachel Tsai has a nice ring to it.  How ’bout Amanda?  So many names fit nicely with your last name.  I’m sure you’ll pick a good one!  Congrats on the half way mark!
