well it’s official. we signed the lease and got the keys last friday. we’re moving into a house for the last two years of phil’s residency!
now, the house itself won’t be winning any beauty pageants any time soon. it’s old, not updated, and is pretty much the ugliest house on the block.
but! it’s located in a cul-de-sac in a great neighborhood, is across the street from a huge park, has proper washer/dryer hookups, an attached garage, and IS A HOUSE! our very first one to live in. everytime phil and i are there, we end up smiling and saying to each other how much we like the place. and how it’ll suit our soon-to-be family of five quite well.
this will be our fifth move in just under seven years of marriage. moving definitely isn’t my favorite thing to do (and we’ve most likely got a few more ahead of us), but in this case, it was definitely necessary and we’re so thankful that the Lord provided just what we needed.
the movers are coming on saturday. i still need to get packin’. but it’s official and slowly all coming together! yahoo!
ps- btw, we STILL don’t know if the baby is a boy or girl. my clinic is strange. if this wasn’t our third kid, i definitely would have switched doctors by now for various reasons. but my ultrasound is scheduled in two weeks (when i’ll be 26 weeks along!) and so hopefully we’ll find out then. will keep you posted!

Congrats on the house! You will love it and fixing a house is one of the best parts of having one. My ultrasound is in two weeks as well! I will only be 19.5 weeks — weird… they made me do mine between 18-20 weeks and the 24th was the only day that David was going to be in town or allowed to be out of clinic. I can’t wait to see pictures of the “ugliest” house on the block and to hear if there is a new son or daughter helping you pack!

Congrats on the house….we have a big move in our future too, but thank God it won’t be 2 right in a row (being evicted and then across country) I can’t believe your clinic is so weird about the ultrasounds. We have to see pictures of this said “ugly house”. Good luck on the move and unpacking…again.

praise the Lord. we understand moving. i don’t know that i’ve ever lived anywhere more than four years, my whole entire life! houses are nice for space, but they do require work, so renting isn’t so bad, you can let someone else do all the work while Phil’s busy. can’t wait to find out the gender of baby#3. i still might have some clothes to pass on if it’s a a girl. we had a garage sale, but the onesies and sleepers didn’t go. i think they were all new with our #4.
