happy anniversary!
just wanted to wish happy seventh anniversary to phil! unfortunately, phil is on call, so we weren’t able to actually celebrate today. but he still managed to more than make up for it, first by taking us out to dinner (kids included) to claim jumper last night. and this morning, long after phil had already left for work, i walked out into the living room to find this little surprise waiting for me:
even after all this time, phil still manages thoughtful little surprises. one of the many reasons why i love that guy. we’ve sure had our share of ups and downs the past seven years, but there’s no one i’d rather face life’s challenges with. God has truly blessed me and the kids with a great husband and wonderful father.
so to the hardest working guy i know– i LOOOOOOOVE you!

switching gears… we were able to hang out with johnny, joanna, and jeremiah on the 4th. it was great spending time with them as always! we hung out in long beach, first at the aquarium, then dinner at bubba gump’s, and finally fireworks by the queen mary. a fun day overall, and the crowds weren’t too bad for most of the day, except for when my brother’s family got stuck in the parking garage for over an hour trying to get out! yikes. maybe next year, we’ll stick closer to home and avoid the crowds.

i had us all wear red shirts since i thought it’d be easier to spot each other in case we got separated. keeping an eye on two active little ones can be a bit challenging! it was phil’s idea for us to wear tan shorts– making us all look like target employees. 
and the patriotic footwear sported by phil and the kids was purely coincidental.

DUDE, you don’t even look preggers in that picture…I know Allie isn’t a big girl either. Funny comment about Target employees. You are lucky with Phil….he ALWAYS pulls through for ya. That gift basket looks deelish!!!

Happy Anniversary! Bummer about call but just makes you melt when you know they are thinking about you at such busy times doesn’t it? 🙂 I LOVE the matching gear and Allie’s hair is getting so long! *sigh* just means we have been away for quite a while now. Your friend is right, look great for being so close to baby number 3! Luke liked all the “Nemos and Dorys” in your fish picture.

I agree…are you SURE you’re pregnant?! You look fantastic! LOVE the Target look! I think Phil needs to give all husbands tips on how to surprise and favor their wives. He’s definitely a keeper!
