we’re in the mall yesterday.  seizing a rare opportunity to do a little shopping, i slip into bbw.  leaving phil with all three kids.  soon after, i see a flustered phil standing in the doorway calling me to come out.  one child has vomited all over herself (why is it the ONE time phil has her, she throws up all over herself.  and it really is the first time– they seem to hold it in until i’m holding them and then let it all out.).  another child is whining for a pretzel.  and the last one is fussing in her infant seat.

box of clothes in the mail.  allie runs over as soon as she sees that it contains clothes for them.  she’s my little fashionista– all about clothes, socks, shoes, and accessories.  “can i wear it?”  shirt for mikey– runs over to him, starts pulling on his shirt commanding, “mikey, shirt off!”

i told the kids they could have pez candy after their naps today.  so i was about to fill their dispensers as they hovered around me.  i asked mikey if he would like me to fill his with half orange and half pink.  he said “no, all orange because pink is allie’s favorite.”

i had installed an automatic shower cleaner.  phil comes out of the bathroom asking what that thing is in the shower.  i explain to him what it is.  he raises and eyebrow and says, “so what happens if i push the button while i’m still in there?”  i say “NO you can’t do that unless you want shower cleaner all over you.  it’s not a body wash machine.”  he continues, “but what if we put body wash in there?  or how about mouth wash?”  well, i guess he’s as interested in getting a few more minutes’ sleep in the morning as i am in getting out of having to clean showers!

we were eating lunch in the food court part of a korean market.  lauren starts crying.  i’m in the middle of a bite of nehng-myun and can’t get free.  phil goes to pick her up when an ahjuma owners come toward us and takes lauren.  she walks toward another ahjuma.  allie sees what’s happening and yells after her, “hey!  that’s lauren!  that’s lauren!!”  so nice to see her being so protective.  hee hee.

i’m writing thank you cards at the kitchen table.  allie wanders over and drops a kiss on my leg.  touched, i say, “aw thanks, allie!” feeling all happy to have a girl.  when suddenly, allie leans down once again and licks my knee

allie announces to me, “i’m mad, mommy.”
me:  why are you mad, allie?
allie:  because, i’m happy.  hmph!
