backyard artists
i haven’t worked up the nerve to venture out alone with all three yet. i may never work up that nerve. but thankfully, the kids and i have been happy as clams holing up together here at home. and even better, my energy level is gradually coming back, so that doing fun things with mikey and allie doesn’t seem so impossible anymore. so while lauren naps after eating (bless that girl), i try to do some fun activity with the kids each day.
earlier this week, i brought out the paint supplies leftover from mikey’s party and let them have at it. the looks of pure enjoyment on their faces while they painted more than made up for the prep work and cleanup afterward. who knows, i might just let them do it again tomorrow!

mikey said he was painting “the night of the sky” with stars, moon, and planets. i do see a star in there!
then later he changed his mind and told me he was painting “the trench of the jellyfish” instead. yes, he talked the entire time he painted. and then he tells me what he wants me to say in response.

how i love to spend time with my kids. they drive me crazy sometimes. but there’s nowhere else i’d rather be!

awww….they look like they’re having so much fun. allie is so cute! i love how much hair she has.
we almost named one of our daughters lauren. i like that name. but we have a friend who’s ex-girlfriends name is lauren so we had to cross it off our list. anyway, i like that name.

Michelle, you inspire me to at least try something fun like that with my kids, Allie looks just like you, and Mr Mikey is a spittin’ image of his daddy. Funny, i though my kids were the ONLY ones to drive anyone crazy, glad it isn’t just me.

the prep work and clean up after painting is what I DON”T want to do, so I keep putting it off, although we have all of the supplies…I’m so bad…esp after seeing your kids’ happy faces…I should just do it!!
