home sweet home
i still haven’t worked up the nerve to go out alone with all three yet and therefore am under self-inflicted house arrest. though my friend emily did manage to get me out of the house last wednesday when we joined them at the library for story time then went to have lunch at a nearby mall while the kids played in the outdoor water spouts. it was a great afternoon and i’ve decided perhaps i can go out with all three. but only when there’s another adult with me so we can deal with bathroom trips and nursing situations and children wandering off. i did manage to remember to put the camera in the car when we left. i didn’t manage to remember to take the camera out with me to snap the kids playing in the water. aw well, at least i managed to keep all three kids in one piece!
ok back to my point- the kids and i have had lots of time these last few weeks of summer to hang out here at home and play together during lauren’s many naps. who btw, is now consistently sleeping 8-9 hours at night. have i mentioned that i love that girl? and not only because she’s been so good about sleeping and letting me sleep. but that’s another entry.
i’m so grateful i had this time to spend with mikey especially because he’s starting preschool NEXT WEEK! i’m so not ready for that. i’m not ready to let him go yet! though i know he’ll love it and will get much more stimulation and activity than i’m currently able to provide for him. i’m still wondering how in the world i’m going to get us all ready and out of the house to get him there at 9 am three days a week. yikes.
but anyway, back to my main point. lots o’ time with my kiddos. to do stuff like…
playing with cars (an old favorite)…
having deep talks with the baby…
and guess who got a new pet fish? a male betta fish named dorothy, of course.
recap of our little labor day getaway coming up next!

Great job at keeping the kids stimulated, and congrats on the sleep, i wish my kids would sleep without waking up.

aha! i knew it! hannah isn’t a great sleeper! at almost 5 months… she still wakes up every 4 hours to eat. at least she’s consistent. =) jessica was sleeping at least 6 hours at this point.
i love the pictures of lauren looking into her big sister and big brother’s eyes. that look of pure love and awe… so sweet.

awww looks like baby lauren is well taken care of and loved so much by big sis and bro. love the matching toenails! my daughter always has to have her fingernails and toenails polished! she gets upset if just one is chipped or bare.
