baby lauren
my baby is two months old today. i feel like i just had her yesterday. what felt like an all-consuming, never-ending phase with my firstborn is now speeding by much too quickly with this one. i’m a little sad. 
i took her in for her well-baby visit and found that she’s eating well (her doctor said i must be feeding her the super-charged, high-octane, premium grade milk 
) since she’s now 10.7 lbs (50th percentile) but only 20 1/2 inches tall (3rd percentile). she’s growing much along the same lines as her big sister did. no worries since she’ll most likely even out in a few more months. it’s funny though, all the weight so far seems to have gone to her head and upper body. her arms, legs, and even tummy are all still pretty scrawny!
we’re still undecided as to whether we’ll give her an “official” nickname, and further, what that nickname should be. lory? rory? lola? lolly? i’ve taken to calling her “lolo” as my special nickname for her. i’ve always called allie “lili” (as in leelee sobieski) and so i love that i have a little name that only i use for each of them. but for now, the rest of the family has been calling her “baby lauren” and so far, we all like it!

Wow, 2 months already, that went by super fast! i likewise cannot get enough pictures, i feel like i’m living the newborn phase vicariously through you. She is a doll for sure.

Love all the pictures! Esp. the ones with you in them…and the sister ones. Do I see “best friends” brewing already? As always, the pics of Mikey make me miss him! I hope he still remembers me. We’ll be over for a playdate soon!

i vote for plain old lauren. i like lory but it doesn’t sound much like her name.
