krispy kreme!
it occurred to me that allie’s never had both her parents all to herself. ever. so yesterday, we decided to remedy that. phil had the day off, so after we dropped mikey off at preschool, we scooted over to krispy kreme with allie. we let her choose her donut (ended up with 20 since she wanted the mini-donut with chocolate icing and rainbow sprinkles. turns out they only sell the mini ones by the box. darn. heh.), then we sat down and enjoyed a little time with our girl.
allie was fascinated looking in the big windows where you could see the donuts cooking in the oil, then getting flipped over to cook the other side, then riding the conveyor belt under the curtain of icing, before getting boxed up. here she is in our booth with the big windows behind her.
we got an assortment and let allie decide which ones she wanted to try.
she started off with the rainbow sprinkles.
having a serious discussion with daddy about which one she wanted to try next.
our girl was definitely happy about our little donut date!
lauren was a good little baby and stayed asleep in her carseat.
“hey! that’s my hat! silly daddy!”
daddy’s girl. always has been, always will be.

when you see those pictures of allie, do you feel like you are looking in a mirror? she is so you michelle! what a fun and yummy treat! man, now i want a donut. argh! 😛

goodness, your daughter is too cute…….i love her beautiful smile and her hair!…..Man, i haven’t had a krispy kreme donuts in ages…..let alone the one’s they make on the spot….boy you guys are sure lucky to live where you are……..Enjoy, the yummy donuts and adorable family……

what a great date….we have a krispy kreme near us too, Ian loves the sprinkles as well. We usually get funky bronco colors with ours. Baby Lauren is sure filling in, i think i love this stage the best, they have some baby fat in their face yet they are still pretty much newborn. Man, it makes me want to have another one…
