valentine’s day 2009
this year, phil gave me the opportunity to choose between a nice handbag and an external flash as a gift for valentine’s day. for me, the choice was obvious!

but it was so sweet that he had been thinking about surprising me with a handbag this year (thought of it all on his own!), and even more sweet that he went online to “do his research” (if you know phil, you know why this little phrase bugs him and why he always puts air quotes around it when he says it) and managed to surprise me with the very thing i had been eyeing but never mentioned to him and wasn’t planning to get due to cost.
i had a moment to play around with it a little tonight and love it already! looking forward to experimenting with it.

lauren’s sticky-up hair is still as crazy as ever! she’s outlasted the other kids– allie’s hair went down when she was around six months old. lauren’s seven months and two days old with no indication of it settling down anytime soon. 
and lately, she’s been loving the belly surfer girl pose.

great gift! I got a new kitchen sink and faucet. funny, the faucet cost more than the sink!!! Tell him next year to go for a Birkin bag! that would make him the greatest husband EVER!!! Okay that Lauren is too sweet, i bet she is ever sweeter than those fancy cupcakes you got. I just want to eat her up.
