fall festival
*finally* got picture uploader working again. argh.
so back to catching up on last month…
after the kids’ pumpkin party, some friends invited us to join them at another church’s harvestfestival that evening. allie insisted on wearing her piggy mask with her costume andinformed me that she wasn’t my little pink fairy (like i’d been hopingfor), but was now a pink pig fairy.
storm-trooper mikey. refer to his nametag in case you aren’t sure.
she did too. (update: hers went belly up yesterday. she informed her daddy that she was “worried and mad at him for putting her fish away.”)
she decided her mini-wings would suffice for the evening.
the next evening, we headed out to our church’s fall festival. allie decided to change it up and switched to a bunny mask.
she decided she needed the big wings for this party.
johnny’s family joined us this year which made it even more fun.jeremiah was dressed up as tiger woods but when asked who he was, he’danswer, “jah-nee”. much to my brother’s displeasure. i thought it waspretty funny, though.
mikey’s favorite game of the night.
she was super happy to get a princess sticker and slapped it right on her belly.
she was good about keeping the itchy costume on. as long as uncle johnny kept feeding her treats.
seriously, i couldn’t get her out of it!

Looks like fun! Seriously…how do you get your kids to wear their Halloween costumes? Matthew took one look and said “NO.” (This is after I had a discussion with him trying to figure out what he would like to be for Halloween. He agreed to be Thomas the Train.)

@joesee22 – ha ha, matthew’s too funny. i think he’s too hip for thomas the train. you might find he’ll like wearing costumes more next year– dressing up and pretend play is big with the 3-4-5 year old crowd. lauren just kept hers on cuz i think she forgot about it as long as the snacks kept coming her way.
