Lazy Days
And then the lazy days of summer were upon us. We have no big trips or long vacations planned, but are instead having our backyard redone and some painting done in the living room. Which means the kids and I have had to stick close to home most days. This has resulted in open-ended long afternoons of time to play, read, dream, or be bored even (gasp!). And because they know that I’m only too eager to suggest summer workbooks, chores, or piano practice to dispel any such notions of boredom, they’ve become quite adept at keeping themselves busy and entertained. Once again, I am very thankful there are four of them so there’s always someone to play with and usually something interesting going on.
And that ends up being a very good thing after all.
