Personal Gone to Grandpa’s, part 2 February 11, 2015 / On New Year’s morning, I woke up to find them like this: Awake for a couple hours already (having been tended to by Grandma who supplied them with milk and something to eat for the little guy who has low-blood-sugar-cranky-butt issues) and hard at work building the girls’ Lego sets. Being at the grandparents’ house is a wonderful, wonderful thing. Grandma was completely charmed by the teeny tiny bitty Lego pieces in the set. The girls were, too. He had his built and ready to play with in no time at all. The storm trooper got thirsty and stopped in for a smoothie. And this boy got these for Christmas from the grandparents. He loves them. Except for when he discovered that Superman couldn’t quite fit through the smoothie shop door. We set off to do a little sightseeing after breakfast. This is typical Jonah behavior anytime you set him down. The sight to see were the elephant seals. He liked ’em. Aw, it’s nice to have someone to cuddle with. This is also typical Jonah behavior. And this. Ahhh this boy. A seagull nonchalantly going for a stroll between these slumbering beasts. This volunteer guide let them feel a bit of the seal fur. It was soft and thick. Then it was time to go. He loves his papa. Pretty safe to say Papa loves this crazy boy, too. This is my rag-tag motley crew. And I love ’em.
