Bright and early Thursday morning, we arose and got ready for a full, long day. The plan was to get up and take advantage of the extra hour at California Adventure for hotel guests. And miracle of miracles, we actually pulled it off and made it into the park. Though it did take some sprinting through Downtown Disney to make it happen.
For this.
Strangely cool to see the park so quiet and uncrowded.
So Phil (our hero) ran around getting us hooked up with fast passes while the kids and I waited in a short line. While waiting, some snow started falling from Elsa’s snowflake!
The short wait was to meet this guy.
And get a family pic with him.
And also his autograph.
Did a little sledding.
Then another short line (that extra hour man. WORTH IT.) to meet these lovely gals.
The girls were enchanted.
And sitting in the theater was last of our Frozen experience. The boy was not sure what to make of all this.
She loved it though.
So did she.
“Let it go~o~o!”
Finally to Mikey’s relief, it was time to move on to a “boy area”.
Lauren wanted to take this little fella home with us.
Mikey could not be convinced to ride the Radiator Springs racers and Jonah was too small for it, so the girls and I went while Daddy and the boys waited for us. They found creative ways to pass the time.
We did the rider swap so Phil and the girls rode again. They won their race.
One of the kids’ favorite rides.
Not very crowded at the park meant that we got to do this ride three times.
Crazy photo-bomber in the back.
Catching the Pixar Play parade.
Waving goodbye to his buddy Mater.
This was mere moments before we got the scare of our lives.
To be continued…
