Rite of Passage

Dad showing son how to tie a tie. One of those rites of passage that seem small in the moment but feel big looking back on it. The boy’s growin’ up!

“Cross over, then under…” actually, I have no idea what he’s doing since I don’t know how to tie a tie myself.

A few last adjustments.

They wouldn’t be them without a few hijinks thrown in.

Okay, back to the business at hand.

Little bro came in for final quality control.

And he’s ready! Thanks for the assist, Dad.

My handsome not-so-little dude.

Hodge-podge assemblage of friends. Only they’re all sporting suits instead of t-shirts and basketball shorts. They clean up pretty good!

Trying to form some semblance of a line before heading into the Cotillion. And yes, this scene was as loud and full of nervous energy as you’d imagine.

Let’s not think too hard about how this was already almost two years ago now. [gulp] [sniffle]
