    kids at play

    i recently found these cool shaped chalks online for three bucks!  i*almost* didn’t want the kids to play with them since they were so cute! but little feet and little hands couldn’t resist for long… both kids loved the chalk, but it was funny to see the different waysthey played with them.  allie was totally taken with the chalk.  first,she arranged all of them… then, she collected the balls and turned them all over… she drew with them… she told me stories about them… and she even kissed a frog.  just to see what would happen? silly girl! meanwhile, mikey got right to work.  for a few minutes… and then…

    totes for tots

    after taking last session off to adjust to life with three kiddos, i was able to rejoin the moms’ group at church for this spring session.  it’s been so nice to be back!  last week, we had a craft activity– making and applying appliques to a tote bag.  i decided to make one for mikey since i was already making a special surprise at home for allie’s upcoming birthday party. here’s what i made: i realized though, that i had better make one for allie too, or else she’d be really sad.  so, i made another one at home! the totes are perfect for the kids to take to the…
