vacation recap
i’ve finally got a moment of peace and a spurt of energy to get this done. ahh, vacation. feels so long ago now that we’re back to our regular grind of daily life. but looking at these pics now brings back happy memories of good times spent together as a family. so phil had a glorious two weeks off at the end of january. we spent the entire time together– a day at disneyland, a few days at my dad’s place, and a five-day cruise to mexico. unfortunately, it was cold and rainy almost the whole time we were on the ship, but we managed to find fun things to do…

keepin’ me in stitches
mikey’s lately been cracking us up with the things he’s been saying. i wanted to write these down before i forget them. after lunch today, i picked him up from his seat and gave him a big bear hug. mikey protested, “don’t squeeze me mommy, i’m not lemonade!” a few nights ago we were eating dinner in a restaurant booth. mikey comes and stands next to me, chummily slings his arm around my shoulder and declares, “this is my girl, mommy.” phil and i had a good laugh over that one. and yes, yes, i promise vacation pics and recap coming soooon. i meant to do it over…

gong hei fat choy!
happy chinese new year! ok, one day late, but phil was on call yesterday, so we had to wait til today. phil insisted we go out and buy little red envelopes to give the kids this year. the kids picked out mickey and minnie envelopes. kinda loses the ethnic flair, no? aw well, they each earned two bucks for chinese new year. hey, they only got them from us and we’re broke, remember? i’m baaa-ack! the all-day nausea (with actual throwing up, even with medication this time), exhaustion, combined with looking after two little kids while husband had to work intensely insane hours for three weeks was rough. …

a bit of news…
we tsais are happy, excited, and still a little surprised to announce we’re having another baby! the baby is due at the end of july. only three more weeks until i (hopefully) start feeling normal again… ugh.
