fall festival
ok, so i’ve been meaning for the longest time to write about the church we’ve been going to the last few months. we’ve decided to commit ourselves to lighthouse community church for the time the Lord has us living in the south bay. and i have to say that it’s been a wonderful fit for our family! the church is small/medium with maybe 250 people. the head pastor is a master’s seminary graduate with a bent towards expository preaching. it has an excellent sunday school/nursery program for mikey and allie (with cute names too– mikey’s in the fireflies class and allie is in gloworms) and every week, mikey comes out with a…

the lo-ord told noah, “there’s gonna be a floody, floody”
we were able to join stella, eunice, and evangeline at the noah’s ark exhibit in the skirball museum this past thursday thanks to stella who reserved tickets a month in advance so that we could all go for free! i just checked the website and found that thursdays are booked through december, so it might be awhile before we can go back, but we had a wonderful time and it was great to catch up a bit with some hbc moms. listening intently to the docent just before going in to play! just one small part of the huge exhibit. it was great for little hands because you could…
