allie woke up today with a temp of 103.8. she threw up her dinner on monday night and her breakfast yesterday morning. she hasn’t eaten since then, though she nursed on one side last night before bed. she slept 20 out of 24 hours yesterday and is sleeping again upstairs. i called her clinic and they’re concerned because her fever is still not coming down. we’re going in an hour. please pray. i’m feeling a bit like crying myself.

aww, thanks guys for your concern for allie. she’s slowly on the mend. i hope. she was sick during our whole time in florida and phil took her in to a clinic while we were there because he suspected she developed an ear infection. turned out he was right, and we started giving her amoxicillan to treat the infection. but then came the super high fever when we got back and i took her in to our clinic here and now it turns out she has an infection in both ears. the doctor prescribed an even stronger antibiotic for her and said to give her baby motrin at night…

so we’re back from our week-long vacation in florida. needing some serious recovery time around here, but poor phil is on call today, his first day back. i’ll post pictures soon (took 1045!) after i get a chance to look through them and pick out a few good ones. in the meantime, could you please pray for our little allie? she woke up with a temp of 104.1 at 4 am this morning. i’ll be taking her to the doctor this afternoon.

thanksgiving recap
warning, this one’s looong. it all started wednesday night when phil brought these home for me. we were thankful to be able to celebrate thanksgiving this year with our good friends, joe, natalie, and baby katelyn brath. i was extra thankful because my thoughtful husband decided to order a complete dinner (appetizers, turkey with all the trimmings, and dessert!) from supertarget so that i could relax and enjoy the day instead of spending it all in the kitchen. good food, good friends, good times! after dinner (we ate around lunchtime), we put the kids down for naps so we could play cards and eat dessert. unfortunately, poor katelyn only slept for 20…
