    let’s go gophers!

phil started his radiology rotation last week.  i love radiology *almost* as much as i loved dermatology.  he works regular weekday hours, no overnight call, no weekends.  AND, he gets veterans’ day off as well as the entire thanksgiving weekend off!  yahooooo!!!  this year has been either feast or famine mode for us and currently, it’s all about feasting baby! phil got us tickets for the gophers football game this past saturday.  it was minnesota versus indiana.  the final score was 63-26.  minnesota won!  they’ve had a pretty bad season so far, so it was nice to be at a winning game even though we only stayed for half of it.  both…

new schedule due to time change

7:30 am– i wake up, shower, get ready for the day. 8:00 am– get kids up, give mikey his milk, nurse allie.  mikey goes to play, change allie’s diaper, get her dressed.  change mikey’s diaper, get him dressed.  8:45 am– all go downstairs.  turn on music, mikey and allie play in living room (allie in supersaucer, mikey roaming around).  i make everyone’s breakfast (eggs every other day, hot or cold cereal on non-egg days). 9:00 am– feed allie her breakfast, mikey eats his, i help him as needed.  give allie sip of water from sippy cup.  clean up both kids, mikey gets out, allie stays sitting and plays with chew…

    a new day

i took the kids to the park yesterday afternoon as it was a beautiful, sunny day.  a bit brisk since it was only 50 degrees, but around here, that’s considered warm! there was only one other little girl and her mom there.  apparently, this little girl decided she wanted a playmate and mikey was the only one available.  little did she know that mikey usually keeps a wide berth between himself and every other kid under the age of 12.  he seems to think kids older than 12 are mini-adults and are therefore okay in his book.  smaller kids however, are prone to yanking toys out of his hands or…
