so it’s been quite the week of sporting events for us!  our faithful friends, adam and lorie, came with us (on super short notice even!) to take in a st paul saints game on tuesday night.  there was quite the ‘down-home’ feel to it, being a minor league baseball team.  but the stadium was full of people and there were some off-the-wall antics (like a pig walking around and a guy hanging from a billboard the entire game) to keep it interesting.  and!  phil even got a bonus darryl strawberry bobblehead doll.  not sure how he pulled off that one…  the field of dreams     mikey wasn’t too interested in watching the game,…

our good friends, adam and lorie, invited us to join them for the vikings preseason game against the oakland raiders.  adam was even nice enough to find us babysitters (other good friends of ours) for mikey.  allie came with us as i had to feed her midway through the game.  she was a trooper and hung in there even though we kept her up waaaay past her usual bedtime.  we had a great time hanging out with our friends in spite of the rowdy fans around us picking fights with each other.    as for mikey… with the undivided attention of two grown-ups who did anything and everything he wanted, the boy had a…

i’m a happy, happy girl. on the way home after shopping at whole foods last week, we happened to drive by a brand new trader joe’s!!!  my favorite food store has finally come to me!    there is currently only one location here in minnesota and thankfully, it’s *sorta* close to us.  close enough that i’d still make the drive out there every couple weeks, anyway.  and even though we already had a trunkful of groceries, we still had to stop to wander the aisles and buy another cartful of good stuff.  heh heh.  so, any suggestions of things we should try?  what’s new in the five years we’ve been without? …
