Oh the weather outside is frightful But the fire is so delightful And since we’ve no place to go Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! it’s been one of the best kind of snow days today.  light, fluffies quietly falling making it look like we live inside a snow globe.  no place in particular to go.  so i decided to take mikey out to play in the white stuff.  but not before bundling him up in three layers of clothes first since it’s 18 degrees out today. initially, mikey wasn’t quite sure what to think, especially since he kept slipping. wipe out!    brrr!  it’s cold out…

mmm, hot chocolate is fast becoming my favorite treat after dinner.  it’s just so yums!  there’s something so cozy about it, especially when it’s 14 degrees outside.  i think i may even be getting a teensy bit hooked on it.  i had to make a special run to the market yesterday just to pick up some more (along with mini marshmallows) since we ran out.  hee hee.  do i dare have another?  even though i just had some?

craigslist rocks!!!  (thanks jane for the tip!)  i got so many of mikey’s clothes from there for dirt cheap and yesterday, i hit the motherload!  over 140 pieces of little girl clothes for $67!  i kept asking the lady if she was sure she didn’t want more for it all, i felt bad that she was asking so little.  most of it looks hardly worn and some even still had tags attached.  now, i’m a little bewildered — what am i doing with all this pink, ruffly, girly stuff?  way different from all the ‘little man’ clothes mikey wears.    mikey was also quite fascinated by all this pastel stuff.  maybe he was confused thinking…

happy belated thanksgiving!  our weekend was quiet, but it was still nice to spend time together in between phil’s study sessions.  every year, we take a picture of ourselves and the ridiculous amount of food i make for the three of us.  hee hee.  this year, we gave thanks with ham.  (please excuse the ghetto serving bowls, we didn’t want to wash the extra dishes afterward!) thanksgiving, 2005   and here we are in our old apartment for thanksgiving, 2004!  i can’t believe mikey’s grown sooo much!

oprah’s favorite things is on today!!!    so cool!  i love that the audience is comprised of hurricane relief workers.  (man, this pregnancy is turning me into a sap- tears! tears!  so much for being one who never cries at anything…)  so i wonder how you get the job of being one of her ‘santa’s helpers’?
