adventures in adventure city
after working through the weekend, phil got monday off last week, so we decided to head over to adventure city for some little-kid fun. it was super UNcrowded, which was nice. but it was also super HOT, which was not so nice. but still a fun day nonetheless. the little amusement park only had a handful of rides, but our kiddos really enjoyed them all and mikey was especially happy that none of the rides were “too scary” in his estimation. he likes disneyland, but has deemed many of the rides there to be too scary and i kinda have to agree with him and was surprised to discover how…

birthday recap
whew! we’ve had a string of illnesses in our house the past couple weeks and every member of the family has had his/her turn with one bug or another. some were even lucky enough to have two turns. makes for one tired mama. but before her birthday month is gone, i still wanted to post pics from lauren’s little celebration. i’m still in denial that she’s a year old already. seriously, where did the time go?! so anyway, we were able to have a nice little birthday lunch for lauren with our family and friends. it was super low-key and relaxed- just the way we like it! here’s lauren showing…

the big 0-1
happy first birthday to our baby lauren! as much as i’d like to hold on to my baby and keep her little forever, she insists on growing and changing with each new day. every day of her life has been such a sweet blessing and we couldn’t love this little face more! so happy birthday, sweet baby girl. we thank God for giving you to us!
