the man of my dreams secretly arranges for our friends to babysit        so that he can surprise me with a nice dinner at   where we ate (that’s right, prime rib and lobster!!!)   and for dessert   after which, we returned home for some fine entertainment   the following day, another surprise- orange marmalade cake made all by himself!   and a gift to show he really does listen to my ramblings     now the question is, what in the world do i do with this crazy gift card?!   

mikey’s already had four haircuts at the ripe old age of 10 1/2 months.  each one has gotten progressively trickier as he became more mobile.  but just recently, a friend of mine introduced me to a wondrous product known as the vacuum attachment accessory.  it’s this blue tube with a cover that fits right over wahl clippers and the other end fits into your vacuum cleaner.  all the hair clippings get sucked right down to the vacuum cleaner.  it’s awesome.  it’s amazing.  it means no cleaning up of bitty baby hairs.  it only cost $12.95. it didn’t work as well with mikey’s daddy’s hair though.  but still it was an improvement…

wahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! we’ve closed on the house!  as of 5pm last tuesday night.  it’s gradually sinking in that we get to stay.  but i’m still holding on to all our boxes for some odd reason.  heh heh, mostly because i don’t know where to get rid of them. yippy, time to live it up!  er, i mean, finish unpacking, cleaning up, and taking pictures to show ya’ll! now, we’ll see where phil matches for his residency and if we end up having to move again next year.  hopefully  not. 

now that my little eating machine is back to normal, i thought i’d write down a ‘food diary’ of all that mikey eats in a day.  just for my own future reference.  *breakfast* 6 oz formula 3/4 jar of homemade peach and flaxseed puree mixed with 3 tbsp baby oatmeal and water. 1 tbsp cottage cheese 1 fried egg yolk handful of cheerios   *lunch* 3 oz formula (that’s all he wanted) 1/2 jar of stage 3 spaghetti (mikey LOVES chunkier foods now) 3 tbsp whole fat vanilla yogurt few pieces of string cheese 2 club crackers trace amounts of juice-water (the boy really isn’t into anything but milk)   *dinner*…
