the aftermath…
of dinner tonight. interesting how different my two children are from one another. my neat-freak son: my couldn’t care less daughter: ******** in other news, we’re s l o w l y getting settled into our new home, which we LOVE! and we’re also still slowly moving the rest of our stuff out of the old place and getting it cleaned up. this move is never-ending! it’s becoming rather unmotivating to unpack a box in the new place that i just barely got packed in the old place. sigh. while phil and i have been busy with the move, the kids have found plenty to keep them entertained. mikey and…

birthday date
so my birthday was a couple of weeks ago, but we weren’t able to celebrate until this past wednesday. phil managed to plan a little date night for us (hooray!) in the midst of his busy work schedule. he even arranged babysitting so we could be kid-free (thanks esther for watching the kiddos!). as always, phil managed to keep his plans a secret so i didn’t know where we were headed until we arrived in front of a steakhouse called “flemings”. mmm, meat. ok, so it could be because it’s been a while since we’ve eaten at a grown-up restaurant and been able to eat our food while it was…
