    My Baby L Turns 7! Part 1

We are currently three days into the new school year. I’m tired and already out of lunch ideas. Phhhhhhhht.  (That’s me, deflating like an old balloon.) The good news is the kids so far are loving their teachers and new classrooms. We are so, so thankful that God answered our prayers and gave both Mikey and Allie the teachers we were hoping for this year. Got thrown a little bit of a curveball when Lauren ended up in the K/1 combo class, but so far she is loving it and her new teacher, so overall, we have nothing but thankful hearts that this year is off to such a great…

    Legoland! Part 2

The next morning at the not-quite-so bright and early time of 10 am, we headed back into Legoland via our not-quite-so secret back entrance.                                                             And that’s all the pictures I took of this vacation because we went to the water park and the aquarium on this day and just didn’t want to lug the big camera around with me. So that’s all she wrote about this one. The end. (Thanks for the memories, Legoland!)

    Legoland! Part 1

Ahhh, what a beautiful summer it has been. I think we got to *most* of the kids’ summer bucket list items, with one or two glaring omissions. We are in our last week before school starts on Monday and I think none of us are quite ready to switch back. Yet on the other hand, having a few quiet hours to myself each week means I can welcome back the things that got omitted what with the kids requesting to be fed every couple of hours. Things…

    Summers are for Sleepovers

One of Mikey’s best friends is moving away. Our two families have been very good friends since the time the boys were three years old and in preschool together. We’ve walked through a lot together in the years since. I can hardly think about what it’ll be like once they’re really gone. It’s an unfamiliar feeling being the ones not moving away. I don’t like it. And I can say truthfully that I know God has good things planned in this move for them. I believe that He will work in and through them and I’m excited for their new adventure ahead. But still, I don’t like it. Change and…

    Morro Bay

Grandpa took us fishing on the second to last day of our visit.                                                                                       Afterward, we went to Grandpa’s favorite restaurant there and had lunch. Where the kids had things like spaghetti and cheeseburgers. Because there’s nothing like fishing and seeing fish guts that makes you want to… eat something else. Ha.
