    TWO posts in one day?! Who am I?? Anyhoo… while the kids and I were trying to make the most of it back in our hotel room with movie night (Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer) and making do with room service food, Mikey and Daddy were off on their Midway adventure with the Cub Scouts.     Making the Most of It, part 2

    Okay, so the obvious has happened in that I was not able to catch up here on the blog last month because last month happened to be December and I count it a blessing that it was a very full month with family and friends and fun things and celebrating how Love came down to us.     Making the Most of It, part 1

    Mikey joined Cub Scouts this year. It was something I always had an inkling he’d enjoy but the pieces never came together to make it happen. Until this year. And he loves it. One of the things he was most looking forward to was an overnight stay on the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier down in San Diego.     Belated Pumpkins

    So… the pumpkins. Though we visited the farm nice and early this year and got suckered in felt moved to support the farm once again by buying FIVE (why??) premium-priced pumpkins, we just couldn’t seem to get around to carving them til the day after Halloween. Mikey was very concerned about this turn of events. We tried to reassure him that November 1st was just as good. It would make the fun last that much longer, we reasoned.
