    Hello Old Friends

    “Are you ready for a Fermin Invasion?” came the Facebook message. The answer was an emphatic YES. And just like that, dear old friends from Minnesota med school days came to stay overnight with us. It was too brief, and Phil (of course) was on call that night, but delightfully refreshing to catch up and laugh over old memories while making new ones.

    Let’s Go, Bruins!

    Mikey started baseball this past spring. More on that later. But because he’s now doing baseball and because we Tsais love the Bruins, Phil decided to combine the two for one enjoyable afternoon.                                       An entirely enjoyable afternoon indeed. Even though the kids were getting antsy and we left well before the seventh inning stretch. I think we got the gist of the experience.

    Happy Birthday to You and You

    After we got back from Arizona, I had exactly one day to prepare for a joint birthday party for Allie and Jonah. Joint birthday party? I think my thinking was along the lines of bandaid removal- rip it off all at once and be done with it. Or something like that. Because March signals the beginning of birthday season in our house. And this is our party year. So two birds, one stone. Happily, at the writing of this post, I am five down, one to go. Unhappily, my shoulders/neck have been hurting since birthday season began. I may need to rethink this every other year party idea. Anywho, here…

    Arizona, Day 3

    All too soon, it was time to pack up and make the long drive back home.   But not before getting in one last cuddle and fake sleep out by the pool.     And one last “mommy barely made it in” picture with the 3-second timer. It was definitely time to go at this point though as the cleaning people were waiting out front for us to vacate the premises.     But Daddy had a few surprise stops in store for us before we actually started the long drive home.     The first stop was this mini train museum.     We were pretty sure this guy…
