Camping 2016
Ugh. Aaaaand now I am a year and three months behind. Where did the summer go?? Seriously, I just can not catch up neither here or in real life. But it’s been such a great summer relishing all the time together and soaking up all the little moments. Especially as the kids keep getting older seemingly faster and faster, it’s ever more apparent that the time to enjoy is NOW and I’m thankful to say that we’ve been doing some really good enjoying of being together, this stage of our family life, this past summer of little and big moments. Like Riding a Bike
We didn’t get to do all of the things on the kids’ summer bucket lists. That was never the goal, anyway. It was mainly to hear from the kids themselves what they were hoping to do with their time off from school just in case there was something rolling around in their heads that they never expressed out loud. Summers are for Sleepovers
One of Mikey’s best friends is moving away. Our two families have been very good friends since the time the boys were three years old and in preschool together. We’ve walked through a lot together in the years since. I can hardly think about what it’ll be like once they’re really gone. It’s an unfamiliar feeling being the ones not moving away. I don’t like it. And I can say truthfully that I know God has good things planned in this move for them. I believe that He will work in and through them and I’m excited for their new adventure ahead.
