Just a random early October Saturday in the life of our family…

Fall is for Football
It’s the most wonderful time of the year… according to one Phil Tsai. UCLA football season is upon us, folks. The highs, the lows, the wins, the losses, the season-ending injuries… It’s never a dull run, that’s for sure. Phil announced that we would be tailgating for the season opening game when hopes were high and riding on the shoulders of a freshman quarterback- before all the injuries, before the weakened defensive line, before the rough loss to Stanford. We will cheer for UCLA to the end, but there’s something special and fresh and hopeful about the season opener. Especially when we pull out a win in the end. …

Let’s Go Bruins

Let’s Go, Bruins!
Mikey started baseball this past spring. More on that later. But because he’s now doing baseball and because we Tsais love the Bruins, Phil decided to combine the two for one enjoyable afternoon. An entirely enjoyable afternoon indeed. Even though the kids were getting antsy and we left well before the seventh inning stretch. I think we got the gist of the experience.
