mommy-do list

so i’m not sure if the ‘nesting instinct’ is kicking in already, but ever since we found out we’re having a girl, i’ve been feeling quite pressured to get all my little projects done before baby gets here.  before life as i know it ends forever.  heh heh.  i’m just picturing myself never completing a project again until i’m 50.

*paint mikey’s name train

*finish mikey’s baby book

*laminate pages of homemade alphabet book (anyone know where i can get laminating done for cheap?)

*make cushion covers out of blue sheet for daybed

*shorten and hem 5 pairs of pants (sad but true, i have to do this to all pants i buy for myself- except capris, they’re the perfect pant length for me.  these pants have been piling up for over a year.  now i’m even less motivated to get to them since i can’t fit into any of them any more!)

*start and finish baby girl quilt

*unpack the last 7 boxes leftover from our move…  which took place last february

bleh.  i think i’m going to go take a nap now.

Yes, I say lay down for a little bit.  Maybe then the urge will go away!  🙂

Let’s not even start on my list of unfinished projects.  I *still* haven’t finished Jonathan’s scrapbook and then I have a scarf that I started knitting for Katherine when she was still a baby…

I hear you on the pants though!  Capris = regular length for me too!

hee hee. i hear you all on the capris. fortunately, my mom used to be a professional tailor/seamstress so she hems all of my pants.

don’t take on too much michelle. your list reminds me of all the stuff i have laying around too… yikes!!!

Eprops to you when you finish your list!  I once got lamination sheets (the do it yourself kind that you put on and peel) at Walmart for cheap.  But there’s always the small chance of wrinkling it you do it yourself.  I would think that Kinko’s does stuff like that.
