o christmas tree
we finally got a chance to get a christmas tree last saturday. this year, we decided to drive out to a tree farm and cut down our own tree. ok, ok, so this was my bright idea- just to get pics of phil doing manual labor for a xanga entry! 
our good friends, adam, lorie, and baby jenna were game enough to join us, too.
the tree farm tried to make it a memorable experience with a petting zoo, hayrides, santa, and free hot apple cider. mmm…

(didja know official tree-shaking machines do the work of shaking all the loose needles and little buggers out?)
it ended up being a pretty fun afternoon!

that looks like so much fun! we got ours from a lot down the street. they actually had the kind you cut down too, but we got one that was pre-cut. 🙂 i never knew that you had to shake the tree, but it makes sense! 🙂

awww… so fun! we were going to do that too but it was a long drive and on our way there, we saw a tree lot down the street and gave in.
