ok mommies, i need your input! i’d like to get a new diaper bag and don’t know where to start. i currently use a le little tripper and it’s been great for everyday use for mikey’s and my stuff. but it’s *just* big enough. meaning, i’m going to need something a little bigger when i have two to tote around. and maybe a backpack this time. other considerations- i want something pretty! and, and… girly! since i use it everyday in place of a purse, i’m feeling ready for something less utilitarian and more cute (but not in a winnie the poohs all over it sort of way)! phil was willing to let me have a petunia pickle bottom boxy backpack (he even bought me one for christmas!) but i just can’t feel comfortable spending that much money for something that holds diapers and can only be dry cleaned. plus, i tend to be pretty rough with my diaper bag and would always be worried about ruining it. so, i’d love to hear what you ladies are using or would want if you could have one. more. bag.

let me know what you decide – if we adopt a girl, i think i’d like to get a pretty one too. mine right now are just plain black or navy blue. i like our eddie bauer diaper bag a lot b/c it’s a back pack and just the right size – but it’s not girly or pretty – just black and practical.

I still use my free diaper bag from the hospital! haha. I’m so ghetto. even won bin’s tried to get me to get a new bag a number of times. I just can’t justify spending a lot of money on something that’s going to get milk all over it and spilled food and leaking diaper wipe liquid, etc. Or am I messier than the rest of the moms? haha. I’m hoping Isaiah will get potty trained in a few months and I’ll kiss all my diaper bags goodbye! What a day that will be! : )

i love my petunia pickle bottom, but i don’t use it everyday. it’s so girly and pretty that i try my best to be careful with it. most of the time i carry a backpack one, but i think it would be too small for what you are thinking of getting. i actually saw a few pretty ones at target awhile back, but i don’t know what their current selection is like. you can check at nordstrom.com, but they do tend to be pricey…but because it does become your purse i feel like it’s okay to splurge a bit. 😉 let us know what the final decision is. 🙂

oh, i forgot to mention it but you could also check on ebay. they have good deals if you are fast enough to get to them before they are gone. 🙂

I wish I could give some input, but I haven’t gotten a diaper bag since… hmmm, I can’t remember when. I wanna see a picture of which one you choose though!
Do you have a babystyle store near you? They have cute stuff and I have one of those hole-punch cards that just got filled right as I was about to give birth- hmph. You’re welcome to have it if you want!
It was so good to see Phil, though I felt like I didn’t get to talk with him as much as I wanted. I hope he had a good trip!

hey girlie..the fleurville diaper bags seem to cute, bigger, functional, and a bit more practical (i.e. made of waterproof protected material and not of silk like the pickle bottom bags)….http://www.fleurville.com/products/mothership.html
lemme know what you think…who knows, you might get lucky and find one on your new fave webiste, craigslist!
