the contenders
so here are the diaper bags that are currently in the running. what do you think??? (being so indecisive generally, this is starting to drive me crazy! heh heh.)
choice #1– kecci shanghai mommybag in violet
choice #2– fleurville mothership diaper bag in pink chocolate
choice #3– skip hop dash in chocolate brown w/ pink piping
choice #4– lexie barnes darling bag in stealth
choice #5– bumble bags jessica messenger/backpack in country blossom
choice #6– wendy bellissimo luxe toffee faux suede tote
choice #7– ju ju be packabe in sassy stripes
there are multiple colors/design for each bag. right now, i’m just trying to decide which one to go for, then i’ll tackle what color to get, and then hunt down a deal on the internet. i know i’m insane. 
help?

personally, i’m a black kind of girl. but aside from that, I am a firm believer that in cases of indecision simplicity always wins out in the end. #3!

wow girlie! so many choices and you know i’m just as (if not more) indecisive as you.
they are all nice but i must say that i like the look of #3. i’d have to look at the features and prices of each to make a final decision, but just from the pictures, i like #3.
if i ever need another bag, you have to do the research for me.

oops! forgot to add that i also like #7 but maybe in a different color. that one’s a little too “loud” for me. i like this one b/c it’s a backpack and i’m all about my diaper bag being backpack style.

i am a fan of #3 and #5. if i go safe, then #3–it has a cleaner aesthetic. it’s very…hmmm…something i feel like ellice would have picked out 3 years ago. hahaha, how you like those specifics?
but the #5 print speaks to me–it’s a bit more daring. i think it’s a really pretty pattern (would be cute as a small little zipper bag that can hold makeup or other small stuff). i say, forget safe and have fun! the pattern is really cool in that retro-vintage-but modern way. plus i think you could just use it as a bag! 🙂 but, you’d have to counter the floweriness of the bag with something a bit simple–meaning you can’t do cute on cute. it needs its opposite. no laura ashley dresses with this one. just some nice jeans with a cool top.
but if this is a bag that phil is going to be carrying around a lot, then maybe you should go for 3. heh heh.

hey, michelle, i have #3!!! i love it–it’s my everyday diaper bag. i didn’t recommend it to you cuz i thought you were looking for a BIG bag. this one fits all my needs w/o being bulky. it’s got 10 pockets, and zippered compartment for your belongings, changing pad, and i love how it clips onto my stroller. i first got the chocolate brown one but later switched to a red. totally sturdy and durable…phil could carry it too!

oh! forgot to mention, you can’t beat the price of the dash!!! go check it out at your local nordie’s if you wanna look & feel before you buy…

Okay, here are my thoughts on each one:
1. Cute, but looks like it could get messy easily
2. I liked this one in the store, but wasn’t sure if it was worth the money for a basic bag. If I remember correctly, it sometimes goes on sale at babystyle though. I like its stylel
3. My favorite- I’m really digging the whole chocolate-and-something thing (pink, robin’s egg, etc)
4. Definite no on this one- it looks too much like the free one you’ll get at the hospital anyway.
5. I have to say, after Janete’s comment, this one is sorta growing on me too. I agree though, it won’t “go” with every outfit.
6. Not my favorite personally, but I could sorta see Phil possibly carrying this.
7. I really liked this one at first glance, but now I’m not so sure. Maybe because it’s it’s stuffed in the picture and just looks so boxy. Maybe in real life it would look better.
So my top choice would be #3, but #2 and 5 are tied for second place.

ok. i was going to say that #6 has some merit-it’s sorta classy, rugged…very eddie bauer/l.l. bean/a river runs through it. but then after i saw that little heart picture frame tassle there on the right of the bag, it lost all possibility. nothing can salvage that bag now. hahaha.
i love minna’s veto on #4. haha. yes, this one is too “free gift from office depot”ish.
i think #7 could potentially go out of style soon. the pink, the stripes all over as opposed to being some kind of trim on a solid colored bag? i dunno. what say you, minna?

Hey! I’m still carrying around the free one from the hospital that looks like #4! Darn! I say get the one that’s the most cleanable from milk spills and the one that has the most pockets! You need those round sippy cup and milk bottle pockets so they’re not tipping over and leaking in the bag. And you need so many other pockets to organize the rest- snacks, diapers, wipes, diaper pad, wallet, toys, makeup bags, crayons, cell phone, etc. Pockets!

okay, i still say my vote is for #5 only because you were wanting a “pretty girly type” bag, but if you want more function i like #3…but from what i remember isn’t the skip hop bag a small/med sized bag?

not that you need any more input…but i personally like #6 the most from the pictures. i like the outdoorsey look of it. i would totally take that camping or hiking or something. i don’t even think the heart shaped frame is that bad. i would put a picture of eugene in it. haha!
