match day, 2006
findings from my prenatal appointment this afternoon: 3 cm dilated, 80% effaced, head very low. but, baby stayed put in order for us to make it to match day! 
first, we enjoyed a few pastries and orange juice.
after a few ‘filler’ speeches, it was time for the med students to pick up their envelopes with their fate inside! here’s phil just moments before finding out the big news! (i actually found out while he was picking up his envelope. i didn’t mean to! i was sitting next to the mom of one of phil’s classmates and someone handed her a list of where everyone matched and she showed me phil’s name! i didn’t want to look so i could find out together with phil, but i didn’t want to be rude when she was asking where phil’s name was. ahhh!)
so where are we headed you ask? well, phil matched at a hospital here for his transitional/intern year, so we’ll be in minnesota for one more year. AND, he matched at HARBOR-UCLA for anesthesia!!! we’ll be moving back to southern california june 2007!!! 
california, here we come!
we’re still in shock as we both had ourselves convinced that phil matched here in minnesota, so it’s slowly sinking in that we’ll actually be moving back in a year. God has been so abundantly good to us these last five years here, and now we’re overwhelmed to know that He has allowed us this opportunity to come back. i’m at a loss for words just now. but just so, so thankful that we have a great and faithful God in whom we could trust with all of this.

okay…i had to re-read your post…and i just read your baby update. she is just going to surprise you without you even knowing it, kinda crazy, it took me FOREVER to get to 3 cm dilated. hmmm. maybe with all this excitement she will make her debut soon.

I could be wrong, but I think credit card fraud is restricted to people using your credit cards. Identity theft goes beyond that, including people opening up accounts under your name and social security number.

My mom used to get her shoes stolen…but i was always a good girl.
***to the comment above, about idenity theft…before my husband was getting deployed, he tried to get me on his bank account so i could pay his bills. i found out someone was using my SS number. what a mess, and the social security dept won’t even help. it took a while for it to get cleared up. those people who steal your identity and or credit card info should be locked away forEVER.
